OVERVIEW

Gin Rummy is a timeless game that requires skill and strategy. The objective of the game is to organize your cards into sets and runs while minimizing the number of cards that don't fit into any set or run. The game continues until one player reaches the target score, usually 100 points, making it a competitive race to outsmart your opponent and emerge as the winner.


HOW TO PLAY

  1. Objective: Reduce the amount of "deadwood" in your hand by creating sets and runs.
  • Sets: These are groups of cards with the same rank (e.g., three 7s).
  • Runs: These are sequences of cards in the same suit (e.g., 4, 5, 6 of Hearts).
  1. Scoring:
  • You earn points by combining your opponent's remaining deadwood.
  • To maximize your score, try to "knock" or "go gin" (having no deadwood at all).
  1. Winning the Game:
  • The first player to reach or exceed 100 points wins the game.
  • Be cautious and prevent your opponent from reaching 100 points before you do!
